The hillclimb racing car of our long-standing customer Holger Hovemann has been used in the KW Hillclimb Cup for almost a decade and has been continuously optimized over the years.
Built on the basis of a Corvette C4 ZR1, the V8 powerplant now delivers an insane 750 hp on just 1180 kg, tuned via a sequential 6-speed transmission Holger first contacted us almost 6 years ago, as conventional racing car batteries failed due to the required starting power of the 14:1 compressed LT5 5.7 liter unit and is now in its 5th season with a LITE BLOX LiFePO4 high performance battery model LB28XX (3kg).
Unfortunately, the monster recently had a serious accident at the race in St. Agatha & will therefore probably never be seen like this again – so here are a few impressions from glorious days:
