Porsche 924 944 in BSR lightweight trim

Our partner BSR Classic Cars has always been known for serious flat beetle conversions and has now built two state of the art transaxle icons…
Both vehicles are extremely weight reduced and have been using our model
LB20XX (2kg), which saves almost 15kg compared to the heavy standard lead-acid starter battery:

Porsche 944 BSRThe blue 944 S2 started out in 1990 with 211 hp from its 3-liter engine, but also with a good 1340 kg and has been steadily slimmed down over the last 10 years, resulting in its current weight of 1150 kg.The engine has now completed 300tkm, but the car is still frequently used at classic car trackdays and classic naturally aspirated tuning is soon to be carried out here too.A LiteBlox LB20XX is used, which contributes to the good performance and is absolutely reliable.

Porsche 924 BSROriginally launched in 1981 with a narrow body, the red 924 soon became a wide body in the style of the Porsche 944.

In almost 40 years, the car has been refined again and again, gaining power and losing weight.
The power increased from 125 hp to over 160 hp from 2 liters through classic naturally aspirated tuning.

The original weight was reduced from 1150 kg to 996 kg.
This was achieved by installing bucket seats, removing the rear seat bench and insulation, lightening various add-on parts, rebuilding in aluminum, using titanium screws and, as the icing on the cake, installing a LiteBlox LB20XX.

Perhaps the 924 kg requirement can still be achieved without sacrificing travel comfort…?
