The LITE↯BLOX LB19XX is used here as the only power source in the vehicle and has always worked reliably:
"One of the most important decisions for us when introducing the lightweight design concept in 2016 was to dispense with an electric generator in order to be able to put even more engine power on the road. However, as many essential systems in the racing car still need to be supplied with power, the demands on the battery are correspondingly high: The battery must ensure that the power supply does not fail during an entire endurance race in the Formula Student - this would mean the end of the race for us.
Since 2017, we have found a reliable solution that has never let us down: The LITEBLOX has a very low weight with more than sufficient capacity and therefore fits perfectly into our concept. With the latest generation of this battery, we can even check the individual cell voltages directly via app - a very useful tool on the racetrack!"
