Our LITE↯BLOX are developed as a fully-fledged replacement for the heavy OEM lead-acid starter battery, are supplied with extensive mounting accessories and can be conveniently mounted in place of the original starter battery using optinola mounting plates. From a technical point of view, the operating range of current AGM/VRLA (lead-fleece technology) and LiFePO4 batteries is also very similar, so they can easily be operated on standard vehicle alternators (13.6 - 15.2V regulation), provided a control characteristic for "AGM" is stored in the vehicle control unit. All further information on this can be found in our Manual.

To prevent damage or loss of performance, our LITE↯BLOX must only be charged using the specially adapted charger with a 5-stage charging characteristic. In addition, current chargers with charging characteristics for "desulphation" can permanently damage LiFePO4 cells. If there is an increased energy requirement without the motor running (e.g. alarm system), only our charger LB0075 (75W) with trickle charge function, on the test bench or in motorsport use only the model LB0175 (175W) with increased charging power.

Our intelligent charging electronics permanently monitor the operating range of the battery cells and acknowledge critical operating states with a loud, permanent warning tone. If this is ignored, the battery cells may be deeply discharged or overcharged (old product version LB11XX/LB22XX without BMS). In the current product version automatically disconnects the intelligent charging electronics (BMS) when a freely programmable threshold voltage (12.6V ex works) is reached - this can then be conveniently reactivated via the smartphone for starting (activate I.K.O.S.). If a deeply discharged LiFePO4 cell is subjected to a high potential, this can cause considerable damage, as high currents are applied to the cells for a short time due to the low internal resistance. Note: If the LITE↯BLOX is deeply discharged (<8V between the poles), do not under any circumstances bypass it with a starter cable or booster, but charge it promptly with our charger and always use our Contact customer service to prevent damage to the product and the vehicle's peripherals in the long term.

As a vehicle battery does not require a specific ABE, the LITE↯BLOX can also be used in road traffic and is generally not objected to by the TÜV. In accordance with Section 19 (2) StVZO, the operating license for vehicles expires if one of the following three points is met: - the type of vehicle approved in the operating license is changed - a danger to road users is to be expected - the exhaust or noise behavior deteriorates During the main inspection at TÜV / Dekra, the starter battery is checked for function and adequate attachment; the type of battery used is not specifically taken into account. There should therefore be no reason for complaint. If you have any questions or uncertainties, it is best to contact your specialist workshop.

As lithium-based battery cells should not be stored fully charged if possible, the LITE↯BLOX should be charged with the I.K.O.S. function and in winter, when not in use, ideally remove and store at room temperature.

The alarm system is a consumer that is not switched off by the ignition lock - as our LITE↯BLOX usually have less capacity than the corresponding standard starter battery, they can also deliver less power over a certain period of time. It is therefore advisable to connect our special charger for trickle charging when the vehicle is not in use for a longer period of time or, alternatively, to charge the battery accordingly by Smartphone app from the vehicle electronics (I.K.O.S. function). Note: If no parasitic loads (clock, etc.) are connected, the battery does not need to be recharged even after a long period of use, unlike the original battery, as the self-discharge of LiFePO4 batteries is very low.

The LiFePO4-based battery cells used in our products are characterized by marginal self-discharge. This means that our Model LB20XX Fully charged after ~250 days without external consumers, the battery still has enough power for at least one start. The intelligent BMS charging electronics of our LITE↯BLOX, developed in-house, forms the interface to the vehicle alternator, constantly monitors the cells and reports critical operating states with an acoustic warning signal for high reliability without the need for maintenance. In the current model variant, the status of the battery pack can be read out via a wireless interface using a smartphone, and it also protects itself against misuse and overload via integrated power electronics.

Delete Bluetooth pairing in the BT menu of the iPhone ("Ignore connection") and then reconnect to the LB via the LITE↯BLOX remote app (note: the password is required).

Connect with the remote APP and check the status in the main menu For older product variants (LB11XX/LB22XX), do not continue to use them under any circumstances and immediately register for the service!

Your vehicle probably has an IBS system (intelligent battery management) - in this case, the LITE↯BLOX must be coded by a specialist workshop before commissioning.

In all likelihood, the "Softclose shutdown" is activated here, which proactively protects the LITE↯BLOX from overload during operation (see Online manual) In this case, please connect to the app, check the status in the main menu (why has the LB switched off & has the error been permanently rectified?)
