20kg weight saving in the Porsche 991 GT3

Our customer CarCareKassel has created a tutorial on commissioning the LITE↯BLOX in the Porsche 991 GT3 and explains, among other things, the Integrated switch-off (I.K.O.S.) & vehicle theft protection via smartphone APP (A.V.A.T.):

Since the heavy car battery in all water-cooled Porsche models is installed just below the windshield - and thus has a comparatively high center of gravity - the potential for weight savings is particularly high here by using a lightweight lithium-based battery (17-23 kg depending on the model).
As a young company with development & production in Germany, we offer a sustainable solution with our own brand LITE↯BLOX, which can also replace the starter battery in modern vehicles plug'n'play & in addition to the pure weight saving, also enables effective vehicle theft protection...
Our two models LB20XX or LB28XX (performance) and LB20XXMS or LB28XXMS (racing) are generally suitable for the various Porsche vehicles. In terms of starting power, both variants - even in current vehicles - should be above the standard starter battery and, depending on the model, experience has shown that they save 17-23 kg.

The decision as to which model to use depends on the vehicle, but also always on the planned use:

As current vehicles in the 9X1 series, for example, have a complex charging management system (including energy recuperation in some cases), only the large LB28XX can be considered here.
For a comparatively older water-cooled model, a decision should be made depending on the intended use and personal preferences - for example, if the vehicle is used purely as a daily or all year round, the LB28XX should be used; for a seasonal vehicle, the LB20XX is usually perfectly adequate.
The LB20XX is generally sufficient for older air-cooled models - the small LB14XX is not an option for Porsche due to the comparatively high starter currents.

In general: You cannot make a car battery too large, but you can make it too small, which is always associated with increased wear and thus has a negative impact on the service life of the battery cells used (regardless of the technology).
